ADDIX COMPOUND

ADDIX makes all of our legendary EVO mountain bike tyres better. With four compounds – SPEED, SPEEDGRIP, SOFT, ULTRA SOFT – we can respond to every demand. The tests in the lab and in the field demonstrate that ADDIX performs better than any other compound before – in all disciplines: XC, AM and TRAIL, ENDURO and DOWNHILL. ADDIX is immediately recognizable by the label on the sidewall and the colored stripe in the tread.

ADDIX IS ALSO AVAILABLE IN A PERFORMANCE VERSION: Very durable, very versatile. Like Speedgrip it is a universal compound, but these tyres are not as light and fast as tyres from the Evolution Line.

XC RACE: ADDIX SPEED is the compound for XC race specialists. It catapults our XC tyres into a new performance dimension.

XC / AM / TRAIL: ADDIX SPEEDGRIP, the universal compound. It definitely has the widest range of use. Perfect for XC, AM and Trail: for the majority of EVO tyres there's a version with ADDIX Speedgrip! It replaces the previous PaceStar compound where a significant, though not the only difference, during extensive use is more mileage and a longer life.

ENDURO / DOWNHILL: ADDIX SOFT is a compound that bridges many disciplines. It’s just as at home in the Enduro and downhill world as it is in the demanding discipline of all-mountain and trail riding. It also impresses when used in combination with other ADDIX tyres – more speed: Soft on the front, Speedgrip on the back. Or more damping: Ultra Soft on the front, Soft on the back.

ENDURO / DOWNHILL: ADDIX ULTRA SOFT is the ADDIX compound for hardcore use in enduro and downhill. Sensationally good damping has been further improved over the previous VertStar compound, while at the same time ADDIX Ultra Soft is suitable for all-weather use due to significantly improved low-temperature properties when it comes to grip and damping.

CONSTRUCTION

SUPER DOWNHILL

For the bravest and most aggressive. For those for whom no jump is too big, no descent too steep and no obstacle too large. Made for the Downhill World Cup. Super Downhill stands for uncompromising stability and performance like no other construction. The most robust and stable (super) construction is double-layered. Six carcass layers protect the tread even at very low air pressures. The side walls are reliably protected against cut and pinch damage by a combination of four carcass layers and a stable fabric layer. A special APEX layer protects against cuts and increases the lateral stiffness of the tyre. Due to the very stable folding core, the tyres are also Tubeless easy.

SUPER GRAVITY

The tread and strong shoulders are protected in this extremely stable construction by four carcass layers in combination with a stable fabric layer (bead to bead). A special APEX layer protects against punctures and increases the lateral stiffness of the tyre. Thanks to the turn-up construction, the tyre remains unusually flexible for a particularly smooth ride. Tubeless easy.

SUPER TRAIL

As versatile as a multi-tool: a stable construction, with a range of applications from intense all-mountain and trail rides to enduro use. The construction is designed to combine moderate weight and reduced rolling resistance with high cornering traction and puncture protection. A stable carcass with two layers on the side wall and three layers under the tread. Fabric layer over the entire tyre together with APEX for additional protection. Tubeless easy.

SUPER GROUND

Combines light weight and stability. Feels comfortable in any terrain. Balanced ratio of puncture protection and smooth rolling. For flowing trails, long rides and any terrain. The modern, sophisticated construction guarantees riders an optimal combination of protection, light weight and rolling characteristics. The protective fabric insert, which runs from bead to bead, and three layers of carcass under the entire tread ensure a balance between safety and weight. Tubeless easy.

SUPER RACE

In no other discipline is the focus on rolling resistance and weight as critical as it is in cross-country and marathon competition. With the new Super Race construction, we are also setting new standards in suppleness - no other carcass glides so silky smooth over the ground, and thus providing traction, like Super Race does. The patented turn-up construction is characterized by an exceptionally light and supple material mix. The tread is protected by a light protective insert and two carcass layers. The side walls are protected from cuts and snakebites by three carcass layers. Tubeless Easy.

DOWNHILL

Very durable tyres. 6 layers of carcass in the center and sturdy 7 fabric layers on the sidewall (SnakeSkin, Apex, 4-ply carcass) make these tyres almost indestructible. With stable wired bead cores.

BIKEPARK

Unbelievably robust. Incredibly durable. A lot of tyre for half the cost.

APEX. REINFORCED.

Additional to the SnakeSkin fabric, these TL Easy tyres are reinforced on the sidewalls by 2 layers of extremely robust motorcycle carcass.

SNAKESKIN. TUBELESS EASY.

A light and flexible carcass makes the tyre highly resistant to scrubbing. The excellent tubeless standard in our Evo tyres! The Snakeskin material assures cut-resistant sidewalls and extremely easy Tubeless conversion. 

TWINSKIN

An additional rubber coating on the side protects against cuts and allows for uniform colouring.

LITESKIN

The lightest option. LiteSkin MTB tyres forego Snakeskin, but still have extra strong tyre beads. If you don’t mind the extra effort, these tyres can also be converted to Tubeless by using a liquid sealant.

MICROSKIN

Patented design which makes tubeless tyres very light and high pressure capable. Special cross fabric applied to the inner surface of a tyre. Very light, cut resistant and air tight.

PERFORMANCE. TL READY.

Tubeless for Performance versions. Extra-strong bead cores, with rubber reinforced sidewalls. Tubeless conversion as easy as with EVO tyres.

PERFORMANCE. DOUBLE DEFENSE.

Double protection. All around SnakeSkin + RaceGuard under the tread provides maximum security for off-road tyres. The ideal requirement for the use on E-MTBs.

PROTECTION

V-GUARD

Extremely lightweight and cut resistant high-tech fabric. 

RACEGUARD

Double layer of Nylon fabric under the tread. Excellent puncture protection for a tyre that should be fast and lightweight. 2 layers of crosswise nylon fabric, 67 EPI carcass.

K-GUARD

Layer from natural rubber, reinforced with Kevlar® fibres.

SMARTGUARD

The ultra effective protection belt with 5 mm highly elastic, special rubber. Even sharp tacks cannot puncture it. The safest protection belt for bike tyres and e-bike tyres. Puncture protection level 7.

 

TUBELESS EASY (TLE)

The monofile SnakeSkin fabric on the side wall makes the tubeless conversion for the MTB extremely easy and safe. It also provides the best cut protection on the side wall. For this reason, Tubeless Easy with SnakeSkin comes as standard with our high-end MTB tyres in our EVOLUTION Line.

MicroSkin (up to 50mm tyre width) or SnakeSkin (from 50mm tyre width) cover the entire carcass and enable Tubeless Easy operation. Tubeless tyres for cross, gravel and touring bikes are much lighter and faster. The MicroSkin and SnakeSkin provide high and maximum cutting protection respectively for the side walls.
